About Us

The After School Coding Club was founded in the summer of 2021 while the world was still very much in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. While not being able to see each other as much as they would like, a small group of cousins and friends started meeting online to create fun animations in Scratch. This eventually lead to including other kids who wanted the chance to learn about programming and culminated in a weekly newsletter providing in-depth coding lessons - many of which are now available on this very site. Our aim here at our coding club is to help teachers and parents introduce their children to the first building blocks of computer programming, while cultivating the creativity and fun that goes along with learning to code.

We'll provide many fun and easy to follow examples to help students at any level pick up the fundamentals of this exceptionally fun and useful skill. We'd love to play a part in helping young students cultivate a love of programming.

If you have any questions or feedback about our club we'd love to hear it! Contact us at: info@afterschoolcodingclub.com.

Happy Coding friends!
